Fort Knox unit visits offer veterans' organizations a chance to see the "New Army" from an Armor perspective while they remember the "Old Army" with their fellow comrades.

A unit itinerary usually consists of a memorial ceremony, lunch at the Saber & Quill, a visit to the Patton Museum and a driving tour of the military installation.

The Radcliff/Fort Knox Convention and Tourism Commission offers the following services to military reunion groups (exclusively for groups utilizing Radcliff hotels and motels):
  • Information on area attractions and accommodations

  • Welcome packets

  • Name badges

  • Tourist information booth at the host hotel
To obtain these services, a written or verbal request must be made to the Tourism Office at least 8 weeks in advance. Your request should contain:
  1. The number of members expected to participate

  2. The visit date and time of arrival

  3. Unit history

  4. A phone number and email address where the point of contact can be reached

We recommend that initial contact with the hotels/motels be made 12 months prior to reunion date.

The Fort Knox Public Affairs Office

Helpful Tips
  • Lunch or dinner arrangements can also be made at the Saber & Quill, by calling 502-942-8332. For planning purposes, the Club is closed on Monday.

  • You may want to consider developing a hospitality room at your hotel for guests. This provides an equitable "round table" meeting area.

  • If you want to distribute word about your reunion, there are a number of connections, including the National Reunion Registry and Press Service. Contact:
